Underneath this fertile setting, much like the havoc wreaked by local moles, lies a network of interconnected tunnels, home to a hidden city that played an important role during WWII. From one remote dwelling to another, the fortification of Leeds Castle was built on an island in a lake and is dubbed "the loveliest castle in the world."
