Day 2
Excursion into Royal Deeside to visit the famous village of
Braemar, the town of Ballater, where many Royal Warrants are displayed by suppliers to the Queen, Crathie Church, where the Royal
Family worship, and Balmoral Estate (Apr to Jul only), where you will be able to visit the gardens, audio visual exhibitions and the largest room in the Castle, the Ballroom. Alternatively, visit Crathes Castle, Garden &
Estate with its fairytale turrets, fantastic gargoyles and lovely gardens.
Day 3
Head to one of the finest coasts in the world! Beautiful, breathtaking and unforgettable and just some of the words used to describe the pretty harbour town of Stonehaven, famous for its Hogmanay fireballs ceremony. The Tolbooth Museum on the quayside has a fascinating history as a former courthouse and jail. Two miles
south is a famous Scottish landmark, Dunnottar Castle, a dramatic ruin
perched on high cliffs. If you prefer, head north along the coast to
Peterhead, a busy fishing port with a fascinating Maritime Heritage
Centre.
Day 4
Full day to explore the
