Celebrate a magical Christmas and soak up the festive atmosphere of the Rhine and Moselle rivers with their traditional towns and villages. Extra special at this time of year, Cochem, Koblenz, Rüdesheim and Andernach all feature.

DCS Amethyst Classic

DCS Amethyst Classic cabins are located on the outside over main and upper decks all with panoramic windows, TV, ensuite facilities, air conditioning & hairdryer. Located on the main deck, the restaurant serves an extensive breakfast buffet and daily changing lunch and dinner menus, while on the upper deck, the panorama lounge serves fine wine, dance evenings and picturesque views. The wellness area boasts an indoor pool, sauna, rest area and fitness equipment.

Day 1

Pick up from your front door we head to Hull King George dock for an overnight sailing to Rotterdam.

Day 2

After breakfast we disembark and head to Cologne for some free time before checking into the DCS Amerthyst for a 4 night Christmas Cruise, we then set sail on the Rhine for Cochem on the Moselle.

Day 3

Cochem the enchanting medieval town nestled in the romantic Moselle Valley with its baroque style architecture and spectacular scenery.

Day 4

Christmas Eve spent in Koblenz - get to know this historic, 2,000 year old city located where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet. Explore its cultural monuments, historic buildings, cosy lanes and alleyways, welcoming squares and river promenades.

Day 5

Christmas Day in idyllic Rüdesheim, a picture-book town with a long tradition of wine growing. Optional Excursions with wine tasting, we sail onto Andernach where there is an opportunity to enjoy a torchlit walking tour of one of the oldest towns in Germany.

Day 6

After breakfast we disembark the ship in Cologne and our coach will transfer back to Rotterdam for the overnight P&O

Day 7

After breakfast we wave goodbye to our fellow travellers and meet the feeder drivers to take us back to the door.
